Survivors of domestic violence and those who have battered have stories to tell.

Stories that can help to educate others to avoid similar emotional, psychological, financial, spiritual, sexual and physical abuse experiences.

These stories are not easy to tell. They are personal. But they are so important to share.

DVSD's Speaker's Workshop helps those with a story to tell  improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending 4 SW classes led by DVSD staff and past Survivor Impact Panel speakers.

The world needs storytellers and leaders. Leaders educate and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the DVSD Speaker's Workshop program. Every workshop journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it.
