Three-Day Trainings are recommended for those without educational or professional backgrounds dealing with in domestic violence issues.

Two-Day Trainings are recommended for those with previous domestic violence training.

DVSD offers 2-3 day trainings for facilitators for a charge. Trainings are led by the Founder and Executive Director of DVSD, Carrie Outhier Banks, PhD.

Participants learn about restorative justice practices and how these practices can be applied specifically to domestic violence cases. In this experiential training, participants will witness a live dialogue. They also learn about the background theoretical information, based on practice and research, that led to the DVSD model. This training is very emotional and applicants who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence, have issues related to trauma, grief or loss in their lives should consult with appropriate support persons before submitting their application materials. *

Three-day group trainings can be scheduled at your location, please contact

requested dates.

Costs:

In Portland
Three-Day Training - $200 per person**
Two-Day Training - $150 per person**

On-Site trainings for three days - $1900 (plus room and travel for 1 person where
applicable). On site hosts may charge their attendees whatever they choose. For a larger training, Gayle Sheller, MSW from Domestic Violence Resource Center (DVRC) can accompany for an additional $500 (plus room and travel where applicable).

Trainings are routinely approved for CEU credits.

Cancellations made at least 10 business days prior to a session will result in a partial refund. A $25.00 administrative fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be made after that date unless the vacancy is filled.

Full refunds will be given if a session is cancelled.

We do not accept credit cards at this time.

Payments submitted with applications for DVSD training will be held until application is approved and returned promptly if applicant is not accepted.
